Published in June
of 2001, Routes of Pride traces the evolution of
the Boston Pride celebration - from a few dozen lesbians and
gay men marching as part of a Vietnam War protest, to a massive
celebration that often draws more than 100,000 participants.
Routes of Pride features a unique map depicting the
various routes that the Pride march has followed over the
years, along with text highlighting the forces that shaped
the annual Pride event into a day of both protest and celebration.
Routes of Pride provides valuable
historical context for the discussion of both Pride and GLBT
history. If you're interested in obtaining copies of Routes
