Fiona Clark: Unafraid
April 2, 5:00 PM – Brattle Theatre
When Fiona Clark, a young queer photographer exhibits her photography of the LGBTQI community in 1975, she and her friends face the systemic backlash of an oppressive New Zealand society. Unafraid, Fiona gives the middle finger to the patriarchy and we discover how her documentation and contribution to the community has helped transform New Zealand society.

1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted A Culture
April 3, 7:00 PM – Brattle Theatre
Seeking to uncover the origins of the rabid homophobia of the conservative church, a Gay seminary scholar and a straight activist make a shocking discovery: In 1946 an erroneous translation of the term “homosexual” in the Bible that has been weaponized against the LGBTQIA+ community ever since. Director Rocky Roggio uses her own complicated history as the Queer daughter of a minister as a point of departure to bring us this fascinating personal investigation.

L'Homme Blessé ( The wounded man)
April 8, 9:00 PM – Brattle Theatre
Henri is a lonely, isolated young man who lets no one get close to him. He meets a street hustler and comes out of his shell, going 180 degrees into gay obsession. Though he has yet to physically approach the object of his affection, Henri builds up so much unrequited lust that it explodes with horrible results.

Daddy and the Muscle Academy
April 9, 3:00 PM – MFA, Boston
Tom of Finland is one of the major icons of the gay world. His provocative erotic drawings have had an enormous influence on gay identity, attitude and self-understanding. This ground-breaking work combines interviews with Tom (prior to his death in 1992) and his leather men acolytes with hundreds of his original drawings and steamy fantasy scenes inspired by his work. We will be conducting a panel discussion post film moderated by Ulysses Thomas, Mr. New England Leather 2022 and joined by Michael Joseph, Hunter O'Hanian, and Cain Berlinger.
